Orr Street Studios is a group of artist studios in a remodeled warehouse space in Columbia Missouri. I was commissioned by the owner, Mark Timberlake, to design and build sixteen sliding doors, six feet wide by nine feet high by three inches deep, for the studios. The first four of the doors are made from building materials salvaged during the renovation, the next four are all wood, painted primarily in black and white, the remaining eight are welded scrap steel on alternating black or red backgrounds.

I began the project in July of 2006 and the finished doors were installed in January of 2007.

See the "Orr Street Studios" portfolio and their web site link on the "Links" portfolio.
